Terms of Service

Article 1 (Purpose)

These Terms govern the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between LIVERSE CO., LTD. (the "Company") and users in connection with the use of BOTDAM (the "Service") provided by the Company.

Article 2 (Definitions)

• "Service" means the AI character creation, conversation, and related features provided by the Company.
• "User" means a member who has agreed to these Terms and logged in ("Member"), or a guest using the Service without logging in ("Guest").
• "AI Character" means a conversational partner implemented with artificial intelligence, whether selected or created by the user, and is not a real person.

Article 3 (Effect and Amendment of the Terms)

These Terms take effect by being posted on the Service screen.

The Company may amend these Terms to the extent it does not violate applicable law, and will give advance notice within the Service specifying the effective date and reason for the change.

Article 4 (Provision of the Service and Formation of the Usage Agreement)

• Users may immediately use the Service’s core features — such as selecting a character and chatting — as a guest, without signing up.
• If a user signs up while using the Service as a guest, the conversation and relationship history from the guest session carries over to the new member account as-is.
• The Service is provided year-round in principle, but may be temporarily suspended for reasons such as system maintenance or outages.

Article 5 (Age-Based Usage Policy and Safety)

• The Service verifies the user’s age group (under 14 / 14–17 / 18 and older) upon first creating a character or entering a conversation.
• Users under age 14 may have full use of the Service restricted without a legal guardian’s consent.
• Romantic or sexual interaction content is not provided to users aged 14–17; if signals of self-harm, violence, or similar risk are detected, the conversation is temporarily paused and information about professional counseling services is provided.
• AI Characters do not claim to be human and disclose that they are AI at the start of every session. The Service does not ask users for personal information such as real name, address, or phone number.

Article 6 (User Obligations)

• Users must comply with applicable laws, these Terms, and the Service’s usage guidelines.
• Users must not create characters or hold conversations for the purpose of infringing another person’s rights or reputation, or generating or distributing illegal or harmful content.
• Users must not interfere with the normal operation of the Service or access it through abnormal means.

Article 7 (Fees)

All features of the Service are currently provided free of charge. If paid features such as credits are introduced in the future, the fee, payment, and refund methods will be posted on the Service screen in advance, subject to a separate consent process.

Article 8 (Intellectual Property)

• Rights to the Service itself and to official characters pre-produced by the Company belong to the Company.
• Rights to the settings of a character a user creates (name, personality, appearance combination, etc.) belong to the user, to the extent provided by applicable law and Company policy.

Article 9 (Limitation of Liability)

Statements made by AI Characters are outputs generated by artificial intelligence and are not guaranteed to be factually or practically accurate. The Company limits its liability, to the extent permitted by law, for damages arising from causes beyond its control, such as acts of God or the user’s own fault.

Article 10 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Korea, and disputes relating to use of the Service are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the court having jurisdiction over the location of the Company’s headquarters as the court of first instance.
